This summer, some listeners will choose WBAI’s next governing Local Station Board.

Will your voice be heard?

We urge you to secure membership now and bring the station closer to its Spring fundraising goal in a single dollar-stretching move:

The “best deal of the drive” seems to be a $50 pledge for the thank you gift consisting of a pair of tickets to Amiri Baraka’s play about W.E.B. Du Bois, “The Most Dangerous Man in America” and an interview with its producer Woodie King, along with the “Book of Negroes” DVD set.

Pledge online using this link:

Or call 212-209-2950 at any time before the drive ends on June 7, and ask for the “Black Lives Matter: Past, Present, Future” package.

And when you pledge $50, membership can be established for you and another member of your household. Feel free to add a comment about your favorite show(s) or something you’d like to hear a lot more or a bit less on the air.

Remember that only those who have contributed at least $25 since last July 15 will be able to elect board members. The local board shapes the station’s direction and therefore much depends on your vote.

In solidarity,

WBAI Justice & Unity Campaign

P.S. We agree that the real bargain is the station itself. While its contribution to building a better world cannot be measured in dollars, it needs your dollars to operate.
