2. Tell the Pacifica National Board: No Sale/Swap of WBAI Signal; Make Decisions Openly

Even before the Oct. 4 court ruling that Pacifica owes the Empire State Building more than $1.8 million, the Pacifica National Board has – according to recent disclosures by a whistleblower – started making secret decisions to 1) move forward in preparation for possible bankruptcy (Chapter 11 – reorganization); and 2) seek a potential deal to swap the frequency of 99.5 FM for another one elsewhere on the dial. If carried out, these would be devastating moves. More to come in the next newsletter.

We urge you to sign the online petition to the PNB not to sell or swap its most valuable asset, our signal, and to make decisions OPENLY about the station’s future. Go to: https://www.change.org/p/pacifica-national-board-pacifica-national-board-do-not-sell-or-swap-wbai-s-99-5-fm-signal

3.     Give Generously to Station Fund Drive

The Fall Fund Drive continues through Sun., Nov. 5. In light of the massive amount of money now due to the Empire State Building, it is more urgent than ever to give generously.
